Pastor Karl Strenge was ordained and installed as pastor of
Redemption Lutheran Church in July of 2003. He came to Redemption
Lutheran Church from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, MO. While
a seminarian,
Pastor Strenge served his vicarage (an internship)
at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Before entering the Seminary in the summer of 1999, Pastor
Strenge was a teacher for three years in
Ironton, MO. He taught
history and a school to work program. Pastor also studied at
Eastern Illinois University where he studied history and philosophy.
He earned a BA and MA in history.
He was married to his wife
Christa in 1996. They have a daughter and a son.
